We make plant-based products derived from sugarcane.

Our vision

Jordisk (‘‘Earthly’’ in Norwegian) - We chose this name as a metaphor to describe that we all have a common responsibility for mother earth. The earth has provided us an abundance of natural resources, and we humans have a collective responsibility to give it back to the earth. In the last decade, we have indeed opened our eyes to the consequences of mass industrialization and how we have exploited natural resources without thinking about the environmental impact. From land to the deepest part of the ocean - plastic pollution has found its way to every corner of the planet. Open dumping, land-filling and burning are the most conventional methods practiced in many developing countries throughout Africa and Asia. In such a situation, biodegradable products represent key components to bringing the plastic industry out of the wasteful linear economy and into a circular economy. Over the last 2-3 years, a wide range of modern technology has been developed that makes it easier for us to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives. Our main goal is to promote such effective alternatives to fossil-based plastics which are not just environmentally friendly, but a better economical choice in a long run.

Our story

Today, the usage of fossil-based plastic for packaging has reached its peak. There is no better time than now to think critically about this as the plastic pollution is drawing a lot of attention.

We make plant based bottles that have the same properties and qualities as traditional plastic bottles, but of course without fossil fuel to reduce the carbon footprint. The bottles are industrially compostable and are suitable for products such as mineral water, juices, smoothies and dairy products. Moreover, we have recently developed packaging for honey from the same material. The products have already been launched in various markets around the world, and now it's time for Norway to embrace this environmentally friendly alternative to plastic.
